First thing, make sure you have all your conversations saved, and have receipts of payment and of the product that you lost. If you have it, be sure to supply shipping numbers.
Then make sure that you tried to contact this person on numerous occasions. If you the deal was through SoundDomain, be sure to contact a moderator- Stemyluv69 member # 18430, ALL4SPL, member # 14883, teh wrath of zif member # 14856 or johan84 member # 28975. Also look for members in that area that may live near or know the person in question. If you know their last name and zip code, check www.whitepages.com and confirm address and phone #'s
If you get no response from the person, try calling the local police office in the area that you sent this person the product.
If you paid with a personal check or money order (bank or post office) go to them and have them trace the money order to find out who and where it was cashed. If you paid through Payapl, they will cover you up to $500 for tangible items. File a claim with Paypal.
If the item was purchased/sold on Ebay, file a claim with them also.
If all your channels have run out and you still have made no progress, file a claim with Internet Fraud Complaint Center or the Nation Fraud Information Center .
File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in the event that it is a business.
Finally, MAKE A POST IN THE FEEDBACK SECTION, so others do not make the same mistake in dealing with this person
