The difference is that like you stated, the 9865 has a color OEL screen. BUT the big difference is that the 9865 plays dvds...and retails for well over $1000 !

there is no 9865
its the DVA-9965
its the higher model this year, but i dont think its features are worth the extra cost unless you buy a screen to go with it
its exactly like the 9855, except.. it has dvd features (u can also make and play dvd-mp3 discs, it is a dead head (no built in amp) a different remote (because of dvd?), and color oel, and front/rear independant control/play, im guessing it is like clarions 2 zone feature
it is supposed to be out this summer
another alternative would be the dva-9860, it is a model higher than the cda-9847, and its basically a 9847 with dvd capabilities
i was thinking of getting the 9965, but then i just got my jvc, and it works/sounds great, i'll probably wait til their next (or next next) lineup which is also when i'll be getting my new car, so i'll have a good head unit to compliment a new car =D
