I have a JVC hd-lh910 headunit, 4 coaxial speakers and a sony 4 channel amp. The amp puts out about the same output as the headunit (40x4) so i dont have much use for it. I want to bridge the 4 channel amp and power the rear 2 speakers. My question is can I combind both the right speaker channels on headunit and run them to my front right speaker?(and do the same with the left side) I dont want to bridge the headunit just run both channels in parallel to one speaker. Would this work?

The HU does not put out that much power. you're lucky if you get 15 watts RMS per channel out of an HU. in your situation, i would use the 4 channel to power all speakers.

neither can you "parallel" the outputs from the head unit. it would cause a short and could damage the HU, or just cause it to shut off.
i normally recommend you give the most power to your front speakers. also, the 4 channel amp may do a better job powering all four speakers. However, i don't typically like Sony products, so maybe the JVC will sound better.
