Right now I have 2 RF T110D4's in sealed box fiberglassed to floor under back seat. I want to up grade to get it a little louder and sound better. The box now is about 1.9cuft I think. I've always wanted 12's but was told they wouldn't fit. Is there any way I can get better option's with leaving the seat back there? My amp right now is a RF T10001 power series. I will upgrade that if I need too. Is there any customizations I can do to allow me to get some good quality 12's under the back seat? I only have 2 shops in my area, one say's its not a way, one says that he might be able to get those 10's in a ported box under the seat, but he was going to charge me $500 to try to build it and don't know if its going to work. I'm not going to spend $500 and it not work. So any suggestion will be appreciated.

What I tell people every day is
The secret to Bass is “SPACE” Big space = Big Bass Little space = Little Bass
Even if you have unlimited Money to spend money can only do so much to make up for lack of usable space
Bigger is not always better

Now with all that said
I have done lots of theses trucks; you can get some volume out of them
You have some option, the factor is going to be the expense; how much do you want to sink into your Bass

You can do 10s ported; will be more efficient and louder
You could add two more 10s and later upgrade to a larger amp for the 4 subs

I think the 2000 trucks are when they changed the floor (more room under the seat)
I have done 12” in the newer trucks (I recommend the 10s)

Is there anyway to jack up the seat brackets a couple of inches to allow more volume to the box? And still make it look good, and functional.

It can be done
I have seen it done
Unless you gain over 4 or 5 inches I don’t think its worth it (then the seat starts looking strange, that hi up)

I would just take the back seat out at that point
You can do anything then; Big Space ( Big Bass)

The trucks I have done with the four 10s really “HIT” with the right power
I believe this is the absolute maximum bass you can get with the available space
What is more important to you? The Bass or the back seat

do you have pics of your set up now; the box

does the seat have to be comfortable? if you make a fake seat, just the cloth cover and thin foam, you can gain a lot more space. but at that point your either making a fake seat from scratch or destroying a factory one (from a junk yard) for the materials.

That's what I thought about doing. Taking back seat out, getting some good 12's, making the custom seat on top of box, then putting some modification of back seat behind it. Or , I rode in a 96-97 tahoe no to long ago, and the back seats were 60-40 beat seats that were separate. Build the box behind the driver seat, then putting the 60 or 40 seat on passenger side, which ever fits the best. Then I could get back seat and get plenty of airspace for what ever I wanted. I would just have to make brackets for new seat so it would bolt to floor right. I suggested this to the shops around here and they said they wouldn't even touch it, said I was crazy. And I might be, but I know there is a way to do it , I just can't do it myself.

you just need to find a shop that is competent at customization.

where are you at?

Danville VA, There's only 2 shops here. And if I buy some other name equipment, other than theirs, they really stick it to you on the price, even though they are really not busy right now.
