is it ok too strip away on the tip some 8 awg wire so that i can fit it into a 10/12 guage hole on my Infinty Perfect subs? im 38 yrs old and these are going to be my first ever subs.

sure. the connection determines the actual ampacity of the wire, based on surface area and method of connection.
in your case, if you need to fit larger wire in a smaller hole, removing some of the wire strands is an ok method, as long as you don't actually NEED the full 8awg.
make sure no stray strands are touching. make the cut over a garbage can, your hand, something to catch them. just one strand shorting out can cause problems.
