whats a superior amp to power some hybrid clarus mids and tweeters, or hybrid clarus mids and legatia tweeters? i had a phoenix gold amp i believe 75x2 and now my tweeter is toasted.

Did you fry the Hybrid tweeter? If so this would be VERY unusual...Scott takes pride in a very low failiure rate.

Adding questions to what Bash is asking, how were the tweeters wired to the amplifier? I know I'll be running a quasi-active setup for my Hybrid three way off a big four channel amplifier when I get out of this hell-hole.

I'll be using a simple cap on the positive of the tweeters to give me a nice gentle slope...

I'd like to hear what went on with the Clarus setup.

I spoke to him yesterday on yahoo and he was unsure if the xover was used. What he did know was the installer turned the amp gain to max.

From what I gathered it was a VERY poor install/tuning job.

I think he bought them from 12velectronics and had a ocal shop install them. Not 100% sure though.

It sounds like the DEALER who did the install needs to fix the problem. They installed it incorrectly as I'm gathering...part of an install is the initial tune.

...There needs to be ownership of the issue here.
