im looking to put either 3 dc 18 lvl5 in my daewoo lanos i have the required cubic foot space but im trying to find where i can place the port and my main problem is that i want to tune it to around 27hz. for my lowere tone loving ears so right now im in debate about rather or not to place the port in between the bottom speakers like about a ten by ten port streched to 17 in depth the box is a 30x30x48 but one other question is should i port it in the bottom with the two subs or place the two subs on top and place the subs up top.
thats my question heres what ive got planed i want to create a frame with angle iron to keep the box from flexing as much. and useing an cover the outter frame with mdf and seal it off with some kinda of sealant and then on the inside of the box resin and resin again also a coat of bed liner for extra strengh. but thats my box design im looking at amps right now and im planning on putting 6 xs 2400 batts in the truck to power if anyone has the number to irraqi alternator or any other place where i can find alts let me know any suggests on amps would be greatly appricated and if u see a design flaw let me know thanks

if u already have the frame and equipment to make it work then do it, but if not, using wooden dows on the inside of the box works also. it keeps box from flexing, inexpensive, and time saver.

i didnt kno b4 it was explained to me either, but neways its a round wooden post that is flat on the ends. (similar shape to a bat except it keeps the same shape size all the way up) u can get it cut to the length needed and run screws through the box into the dow. ive done it a number of times and it works great

lol last time i competed was just in my local town show but i had one dc 18 lvl5 and a earthquake phd5000 and one xs 2400 sad thing my deck didnt work so i ended up pulling my truck beside my car and using my rcas out of my truck to run the system lol. so im in the need to upgrade mode but i hit a 149.5 with that brand new out of the box so and i was hitting at 37hz so it sounds great

where was the mic placement at your local comp. that's a very good score for a daily driver. and your tuning is very, very listenable too. i like to see install/competitors like that.
was the mic stuck to the windshield? or on a stand in the seat? or in a globe in the kick panel area (on the floor).
