I'm getting down to the wire here, literally. Picked up RCA interconnects and 16ga Stinger (basic black) speaker wire from the local shop yesterday. Ordered my JL Flatwedge 8" sub in a box and some 12ga Streetwires from Crutchfield last night and my Second Skin order will be delivered today.
One last thing I haven't picked out is the LOC to tie all this to my stock HU and feed the PDX-5. Local shop suggested a Peripheral SVEN4 and it would do the job for about $60. But if there were a good enough reason I'd consider going up to $150 or so for something a little better. An AudioControl LC6i is in that price range, but what else is there? And just how much better than the SVEN4 would that be? For $300 the shop suggested the RF 3Sixty.1 but that's more than I want to spend. What else is there? I'm just not finding many options in my web browsing.

Thanks,
- D

do you want an EQ also? how many channels do you need?

i've used an Audio Control EQL for the EQ and high level inputs. worked great. but only left and right - no fader (if you run rears).

Audio Control is fine stuff for the money.

HOWEVER, if PAC has an interface for your factory radio, i'd look into it. if you have a premium system, or factory amp - get the PAC interface. then add an EQ if you need.

Ah thanks for that, helpful as usual. Funny, I was just browsing PAC's site yesterday. Don't think they have anything for my HU tho.
I don't think I'll spring for EQ, just wondered if the added functions of something like the LC6i were a significant improvement over a basic LOC like the SVEN4.
Lately tho I'm leaning toward the SVEN4 for now, with maybe a totally different HU at a later date. Then I wouldn't even need a LOC so no point going all out on one now.

PAC would make something specific for the car, not specific for the head unit. it would be compatible with any head unit.
