I have a 07 focus, nice deep trunk. I was wanting to build my own enclosure that would look very unoticable but also ported. I was wanting your alls opinion on how to do two 8" kickers to cover mids and one ten inch sub to cover the lows all enclosed in the same box . any suggestions ????

if this sounds crazy too let me know if you have another idea.

i have a focus, and have had countless set ups in it, so feel free to PM me any specific questions about the car itself. i have an 03, but there aren't too many differences between it and the 2nd gen model you have.

you don't want the mids in the same box. it will sound terrible. you want the mids up front near you.

8's will fit in a focus door, but it will take a ton of modification (i've been looking into this recently). your best bet is to use a set of 6.5" components and put an appropriate sized amp on them. you'll need to make baffles to fit the speakers correctly since the stock size is 5x7.

what HU do you have? what equipment do you have already or do you still need to purchase everything? have you ever installed anything before?

okay, I honestly havent done anything to it yet, I wanted to get the idea down bofore i started EVERYTHING is stock lol , so you suggest installing 6.5 's in the door with its own amp, then what like maybe two tens in the enclosure in the back? and also i was curious is it better to face them the same way or opposing ways i have seen both

Two tens would be good... face them both back into the trunk lid.

deadening is also going to be key in that car. Especially the trunk and rear deck. i've used almost three bulkpacks of dynamat in my car and i am still not done.

I hear you on the three bulk packs! I think I'm going to have at least three more. I've got to do my trunk, back doors, and roof.

Two 10"s sound like a plan to me.
