Hi guys, I've been looking for topics/reviews about jl audio 8w7 cant find an unbiased one. Anyways here's my dilema right now I have c2 6.5 in the front and jl 500/5 powering it. Right now im eyeing on 3 subs 1. 8w7 - Im just having second thoughts on this subs, since its only 8inch. Im not sure if it can hit those low freq 2. 10w7 - with my current amp, i doubt that this is enough to feed it 3. 10w6v2 - Alot cheaper than w7, but im not sure of the quality
Forgot to mention, this is for SQ. Sealed box. Ty in advance

8w7 ported. or save your $$$ and go with 2 10w1's sealed.
there are more speakers in the JL vault than the w7.

I have 2 8w7, I had them in a sealed box and was not overly impressed with the output,However they sounded good. I put them in a ported box and that is where they came alive, and still retained good sound quality. I dont know what kind of vehicle u have, if it is going in a trunk I would suggest to port the 8w7, or a larger sub I can't tell u about 10w6 cause I have never heard it. The 10 w3 is also a nice sub aswell and cheaper than the 8w7 and 10w6. Hope this helps.
