i could get one used for about $80, i know they are not great, but for a daily driver are they any good? i heard they are 8 ohm subs, would that make it hard to hook them up to get the best power.
Does anyone have these?

they are 8 ohm subs because it comes with a two channel amp. 8ohm + 8ohm in parallel will give you a 4 ohm load, which is perfect to bridge the two channel.
i wouldn't run that stuff, but for the average person it would probably work, and 80 bucks isn't too bad. it's up to you really.

i wouldn't spend the money on it. your call, but i'd buy something worth keeping around (or that has resale value).

^right. the subs are 4 ohms SVC. the amp is two channel. you can't bridge it to the subs unless you wire them for 8 ohms. that is probably what you were told.
you can run them stereo at 4 ohms each or bridged at 8 ohms mono. either configuration uses half of the available amplifier power.
