i have a pair of JL 15w3's and one has a loose dust cap (barely loose but enough to make noise). i have searched around and cant seem to find a tutorial for re-gluing it back on, maybe im using the wrong search words.

any ideas? i really do not want to f**k it up.

superglue works just fine. it's a poly cone and a poly dust cap. if it was paper i would use something else.

use the thicker gap filling superglue....not the thin stuff. you definitely don't want superglue running down the cone and getting in the voice coil/magnet gap.

agreed, i should have clarified you want superglue gel. yes, remove the dust cap completely, carefully. i've carefully used a razor blade to separate the two neatly. if you just lift the flap you'll inevitably get some too high (visible) and you have apart that is pulled away but not glued. centering it is also important for cosmetics.
