Was working on my system re-wiring today. I did something to my Mini-ANL fuse and the plastic piece on the top busted off. The metal still looks fine. I don't have my system wired to the point I can turn it on yet, was just wondering if the plastic pieces do anything? I'm cheap and don't want to go to Pep Boys and spend $6.99 on pack of them if I don't need to lol.

Also right now my speaker wire is kind of ghetto, there seems to be 2-3 different brands (I didn't wire it originally) and I had to use butt connectors to get some of it long enough to reach my amps. Auto Zone had some cheapy 18ga, but it didn't seem to flex at all. Has anyone used the Stinger Audio blue colored 16ga speaker wire? Pep Boys has it, but the container it's in I can't tell if it's any different from the cheapy stuff. I'm looking for something nice and bendable so I can clean up my wiring mess.

That plastic piece just protects the fuse element from accidental damage and keeps the ends in place in the event of a failure. It's not crucial but somewhat important.

As for the speaker wire, the Stinger wire should be fine. If you want it to be more flexible, look for a higher strand count.

I don't see any of the 16ga I'm looking at having a strand count on the packaging. I could order some from KnuKonceptz, I know the 4 & 8ga I bought from there is awesome. Wanted to pick some up in a local store today though.
