I currently have 4 12'' kicker CVX's in a ported box in a Jeep. They are all 2 ohm speakers and Im running them at a 1 ohm load pushed by a Hifonics Brutus 2600 watt mono amplifier. Also have a 2000 Kinetik battery. It is rediculous loud in the inside of my truck but not loud enough on the outside so I decided that i now want 3 15's and going to sell my 4 12's for like $450. Can someone give me some ideas of what 3 15's would be good for my amp or anykind period as im in a friendly competition with 3 15 l7's. Any suggestions?!?!!?!?

2 15s or 2 18s if u have the room for the size ported box your going to need...

i have had planty of systems

4 12''l7s
8 12'' memphis prs
10 10'' soundstream picasso's
2 15'' l7s
2 15''re sx'x

and now 2 18'' re/fi sx's

even tho i had multiple 10s or 12s they hit hard and sounded bad ass on the epicenter, but evey time i would install 2 15s or 18s u could really hear the 15s and the 18s from fare away like you young kids like..lol if u want to be heard get 15s or 18s ported...

b.s. 90% of my subwoofer business is "can these get me noticed". i did a system in an Aston Martin last week where only 10% of the project was devoted to the single 10" ported w1. that system sounded very good and balanced with the JL comps up front.

but that's the fractional minority of my business. most of it is "how far outside the car will people be able to hear me." heck, when i demo my 2 13w3's ported to JL spec, people walk to the front of the truck to see how far away they can hear it...wtf? \:confused\:

^yep. it's sad but true. people want bass so they can be heard. is it a public distraction that results in laws being passed? yes.

i used to contribute to that. my town passed a law, on the second offense they can impound your car for 3 days and fine you $500 - if you're heard 75ft away. you can have a conversation with someone 75ft away. any system with even a single sub can be busted.

that's why i drive around with my finger on the mute or pause button on the remote. i'm not trying to be heard, but i recognize that my system is capable of violating the rule. As such, i'm careful. i turn it down at stop lights if my windows are down. if my windows are up, the sound is contained, and i rock out.
