I looking into getiing 2- re audio xxxd2 subs, which amp or amps will I need to push them properly? Will 1 T40001 do it at 2 ohms, or will 2-T20001's , 1 on each sub, or will 2- T10001's 1 on each sub. I guess I'll wire them 2 ohms , can't run .5 on RF amps.

i'd think you'd want to have about 2000W RMS available for each sub, but plan on giving them less than that. that way you operate within the thermal limits of the amps since you'll be running them at 1 ohm. those are all older models, and i can't find any reliable info on them regarding their ability to run 1 ohm loads reliably.

you can sync two amps together if you want to ensure they move equally - i.e. if they share the same airspace.

also, if you have one amp per sub you have options if you ever want to just run one amp and one sub.

These amps will run 1 ohm but if I use a 1 amp it will be run at 2ohms , right. 2-DVC 2ohm subs , its either .5 or 2 ohms right. will that 1 T40001 be enough at 2 ohms , (probably 3000 watts at 2 ohms)

on T40001 would be just fine for those subs, and yes, it would run both at 2 ohm (series parallel wiring)

i use to run 2 T2000.1 rf amps, and i had so much trouble trying to sync the amps together on two subs. i did my research and found out that u cant sync 2 rf amps on 2 subs, they only sync up on 1 sub. imo i would use 1 T4000.1 over 2 of the others.

i don't understand why the amp(s) even care how many subs there are. it should only care about the impedance load presented.

does that mean you can't run dual voice coils either? how does the amp know the difference between multiple subs and multiple coils?

i played with those amps for almost 2yrs with help from meca competitors and none of us could figure out what the deal was with em. i understand the whole "master" and "slave" switch on the amps but the the subs stayed out of phase. rf even makes a sync cable but it still didnt work. i looked at my manual and it seemed that they only sync up correctly using 1 sub. pretty much they sync up to make a monster amp on a single sub. atleast thats the way i read and understood it. i figured multiple hardcore meca competitors couldnt all be wrong.lol.

just hope the guy has his electrical in shape b/c those amps are current hogs, part of the reason i quit running them and sold em. but i do like the single amp setup.
