help identifying memphis equipment

so my buddy gave me a memphis 16-CX25

its a powered crossover right? i couldent find any info on it
how would i hook it up? i have a pioneer cd player

which is currently hooked up to ppi amp and kicker L5 12

any ideas would be appreciated

You have no reason to hook it up assuming that the ppi amp has it's own low pass filter...

i should have elaborated.. want to hook up 2 jl audio door speakers and rear 6x9's with a amp. and i was told that i would need this to make it sound better

also its an old ppi, so im not sure if it has a lpf.. bout to go check right now

the only reason it would "sound better" is if you wanted to cut all of the bass out of the interior speakers and send it all to the subs. That crossover would basically take one output from your Pioneer and make a sub and mid/high output to go to your amps, which might be necessary if the Pioneer only has one set out RCA outputs.
