So I was all excited to get a BTL and now I'm reading in some places that it's not as efficient for the money. Already have the amp so looking for any other recommendations of 12" subs capable of taking 3000+watts? I don't know of any for a daily driver.

yeah i am trying to conserve trunk space. My previous setup was a RF Power HX2 with a T10001bd and i'm trying to upgrade. one of the other ones i saw was the DD9512 but it's crazy expensive and i didnt think it would get that much louder than the btl at the same wattage

what exactly do you mean when you say the BTL isn't as efficient for the money? elaborate a little.

Sounds like what you are reading is distorting your senses. The BTL is as good as the box you put it in.

Hm i thought when i was watching a topic I would get email notifications when other people post? I guess not...
I got it from the Great 12 challenge and some other forums, saying that per watt its not as effecient. I have been looking into others and i'm probably going to get an RD Heavyweight and take advantage of their laborday sale (its only 429)

The BTL may need some power, but it will still be the loudest Fi driver all things being equal.

i mean most places i've read comparisons between fi btl, dd9500g, rd heavyweight, and dc lvl4xl/lvl 5 and most people go rd, no one has really gone with btl. a lot of people say it's a draw tho just flip a coin. why do u think btl? mind they would all be on 3000 watts
