I have a Kenwood DDX7017 that has been working fine for over a year. All of a sudden this morning I could not get the radio to power up. I checked the fuse and unplugged it and plugged it back in. Nothing! I tried the reset and the unit powered on in standby mode. I switched to the radio and it immediately turned off. I could not power back up. I hit reset again and the same thing happened. The unit will stay on in standby as long as I want. But as soon as I switch to another input it turns off and the only way to turn it on is to reset it. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks

could be a short in the speaker wiring. review every connection and splice - starting behind the head unit. if just one speaker wire strand is touching metal - the HU will protect itself.
i already disconnected all of the speakers, and only left the red ,yellow and black and it still doesn't work. Some one had the same problem and i tried to communicate with that person but he doesn't answer.
