Should i keep my stock alternator wire?

Hey guys, im just a little confused about something. I know when u do the bg three ur supposed to do keep the stock wiring and add onto it, but is that the case for the alt to battery wire, or can leave that disconected?

you can add on to it, or replace it completely.

i wouldn't leave any wire disconnected - a shop working on your car won't know why it's hanging and could miswire it. if you can't remove it, add to it.

also, if it goes to a fuse box first, you'll want to take that same path if you replace it.

you can add to it and go directly from alt to battery. remember to fuse the wire close to the battery.
