today i went to my local car stereo installer, to fit my 2006 honda pilot. They told me that they would install Hertz high energy 6.5 components in the front and co axial's in the rear powered by a jl audio 900/5 amp. Later on, ill have a custom made sub box installed in the factory location. I never heard of Hertz, being a noobie, but a friend has focals in his car and just about everyone else i know has jl audio everything. Whats your opinion on the three brands? Thanks for the help!

I heard a very similar setup. HSK up front and coax in rear. The speakers were powered off a TMA 60x4 amp. He had a TMA 500/1 on two JL 10s and it sounded really good. The car got loud for what he had. HSK is a really good set. I prefer them over the focals in the same price range. Keep in mind Hertz just released a new HSK set to replace the older model. They might be even better from the looks of them.

My shop carries all the brands mentioned above. I'm impressed with Hertz as we just started carrying them. They make some pretty decent stuff. I personally have Focals K2 Power in my car powered off a JL HD 600.4 and love them. I wouldn't hestitate to put Hertz in my next car though. I guess it would just depend on what I can get for the price range in my budget.
(I also don't see myself getting rid of my Focals anytime soon though. To date they are the best sounding speakers I've ever owned.)
I think you'll be very pleased with the Hertz speakers.

First off, we just did that last week but using a Hertz Hi Energy 10 for sub and it sounded F!@#$ awesome! Do it, you will love it, especially if it's the new HSK's. We carried JL up to the start of this year when our rep cut us off because the numbers weren't there ( not my fault customers liked HERTZ better) so I can honestly say all three brands are high quality stuff. If you lived in the area stop by, we Hertz, Focal, and Morel live and playing on display.
