Hey guys - has anyone got some tips or tricks (or a writeup that I couldn't find with the search?) for routing the antenna up to the roof module for a GPS Nav unit?

I thought about the ghetto route like the XM radio antenna on the honda but that's a little cheesy running out through the rear door! \:D

But serioulsy I was kinda thinking of routing somewhere up to the back through the tailgate assembly (it's on SUV) - I don't think that I can get it through the sunroof. Any other ideas?

With all the GPS satellites in orbit, you can put the antenna on the dash and tuck the cable down into the trim work. Make sure you use the metal sticker under the antenna.

Roof mount is very easy. Even if you think it's cheesy.

i think it's the wire hanging out of the back of the door that's cheesy, not mounting it to the roof.

I'm pretty sure Honda won't do that from the factory nor would a reputable shop.

I forgot to paste the link in, so you missed the joke Murph \:\)

I know it's gotta go on the roof somewhere, I'm just wondering if anyone's got a neat trick for routing the wire since it's got a fairly large connector on the end that won't exactly fit through a grommet (well, it will, but the grommet won't squeeze up against the wire!)

Mine is mounted under the dash on top of an AC vent. Works fine and is hidden.
