The remote will bep once and show hood icon for hood, beep twice and show trunk icon for trunk, and will beepthree time and show both icons for hood and trunk. The default is the tunk.

The zone number is the number of LED flashes used by the system to identify that input. The standard input assignments are listed below, along with spaces to write in any optional sensors or switches you have had installed. interpreting zone diagnostics Warn Away responses are not reported by arming or disarming diagnostics. If you receive a Bypass notification when arming or a Tamper Alert notification when disarming, look at the LED. Active or triggered zones will be indicated by a pattern of blinks by the LED. Example If Zone 3 was active or triggered, the LED will blink three times with a two-second pause. Then it will blink three times again, and repeat until the ignition is turned on. ➜ Zone - Number Dealer-Installed of LED Flashes Description Options 1 Instant trigger - often used for hood/trunk pinswitches 2 Instant trigger - a heavier impact detected by the shock sensor 3 Door switch trigger 4 Instant trigger - for optional sensors 5 Ignition trigger
what does this mean

what does this mean? The blue wire is the multiplex input. It can be set for hood, trunk or both. The zone number is the number of LED flashes used by the system to identify that input. The standard input assignments are listed below, along with spaces to write in any optional sensors or switches you have had installed. interpreting zone diagnostics Warn Away responses are not reported by arming or disarming diagnostics. what does this mean Each zone has a trigger. If the alarm is tripped the led will let you know why it went off.

thiS? what does this mean? I already answered this. Since you are the user and know nothing about the wiring or the settings I'll make this simpler. it means very little for you. If the trunk is open the alarm should show you on the remote the trunk is open. Make sense? Now if you have a hood pin on the same zone then you can program it to display hood and trunk or just trunk.
Also is there a way I can get my remote to reach up to a mile?
No only the SST alarms offer up to one mile range.

the reason im asking is because the remote only beeps on the trunk even if the hood was open and was not sure if this is the way you program it, I was just make sure that im doing the right thing.
Is There any add ons that I can get to put on my alarm to reach up to a mile?
