Hey there I am in the market for a used car possibly and I am wondering if I happen to get one with a Bose or something upgraded premium sound system option....would that be enough for a decent set up to go with subs? I am planning on getting a 12 w7 or 2 10s.

No real benefit if you want aftermarket components.

if i buy a car i make sure it has the lowest sound system option possible for that model. it makes removing it much easier. but i also replace speakers. if you're just wanting to add a sub, then maybe the premium system will have a factory sub that you can grab a signal from.

Bose sucks ass to add aftermarket gear to. avoid any system with Bose. it also sounds like ass. but i despise Bose so my opinion is very biased.

I would never spend the money a dealer wants for a premium system because it is overpriced and underwhelming in performance. For the $2000-$3000 Mercedes or BMW wants, I'll pass and build a system 10 times better.

Don't do it! Follw the advice given here. Often times it is more of a hassle for the installer to work around and/or remove the "premium" factory system versus a regular OEM or factory deleted option.

Hey Tam,

How do you have those L1 pros mounted?
