I'm trying to setup a descent staging in my car, I'd like to run to sets of components, my question is should I put both sets up front, or run one set in back, and if I run a set in back where should I put them (like is the back deck the best location so on)
I plan to port my sub up through the back deck, just an fyi.

it seems to me what you're hinting at there, is get 1 set, and try it... then go from there? Lucky for me I have a good 2 channel amp I could throw on 'em to try it out before I haul off and buy a 4 channel. If that's the best idea, I'll wait to buy a second set until I've heard the set in action, and from what I just read you can run seperate channels to the mid, and tweeter on the crossover, or run it with single amp (2ch) http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=234&Itemid=54 those are what I plan on running, so if anyone has an opinion on those that would be helpful too

too many variables. go to a local stereo shop, listen to some of their sets while the eq is set to flat. decide which ones you like best.
when you install them, sound staging is a different forum fyi, but it depends where you want the stage, for competition SQL, they want it to seem like the stage is right at the top of your dash, and your sitting in the front row, so the placement of the speakers need to send the sounds in the direction you want, which is explained very well in the last post of mine. if you want comps in the back, everyone will say dont have speakers in the back cuz it will mess up your front stage, unless your a god at installs. but if you want them in the back, its no problem if your not competing. more speakers = more spl. car will be louder, but i think there is a possibility of cancelation if its not properly deadened(double check that cuz im not sure if thats correct) the sound stage would no longer be in the front on the dash if you ahve speakers in the back, and it will just be an all around stage.
