the last box i helped made took 2 days(simple 2 10"), not including drying time, the previous one was spread through out a 2-3 mooonths (custom for my truck)HOURS of designing..i might just be dense.

if you have the correct tools, it should only take a few hours.

i think you're just dense \:p

the box i currently used was completed in a day and it's part fiberglass to hug the contours of the inner wheel well hump.

it has taken me exactly a month to make the boxes for my pathfinder, and they are not complete yet, still have to cut the hole for the 15s and cut the holes for the ports and make the ports, fiberglass and brace,i am slow, but i only have a few hours on the weekend to do the work,

i think making a custom truck box, ESPECIALLY for the ford ranger is one of the most difficult boxes to make in the world.

pic of dodge ram box:

without having a cut list, i would probably just go with fiberglass and an mdf face

Agreed but there is more that enough prefab boxes for that truck that sound good and are inexpensive.

yeah square sealed box takes no time. i built a ported box for a 12 that fit behind the seat of a regular cab tacoma in about 6 hours counting drying time for the bedliner.

They do at Lowe's too. I worked in the Lumber Dept. They kept it in another aisle though.

no, that was all done on the fly with a calculator. we ported it to 37Hz since he didn't care about sq. it was with a shallow mount pioneer 12. Box airspace was a little over 1 cuft if I remember. Here's pics:

i didn't do the wiring, that was his part. that pic was shot right after we confirmed that everything worked. i told him to go back later and clean it up some.

i had nothing to do with the install other than putting the box in there. the rest was all him.
