with the advice from Murph and Jay,I put them in the kicks near the floor, here are a few pics of what I did.I first use the speaker mounting ring to decide exactly where i wanted them to be and than drilled a pilot hole to get my sawzall in to cut,I used the sawzall because of the irregularities of the metal.I also used safety glasses due to the fact that small pieces of metal would be flying around,I than drilled the holes that were used to secure the outside and inside rings to the meatal. I used construction adhesive to secure the outer and inner ring to the metal.the outer ring was made of 3/4 mdf.and I used expanda foam to fill in any gaps that were not covered by the 2 rings, and here is how it looks with the Ultra 6 inch midbass in,I will be building a custom enclosure for the outside to keep the midbass protected from the elements.pics of that will be coming soon,

LOL
It looks good though
I need to get my Caddy running correct, needs a new TCC solenoid FML, then I'll get my install going. A shop will do it though since I've never done an install and this is going to take the relocation of my stock Bose HU. if yuou have any experience at all do installs, you should give ait a try, there are alot of really experienced people on this forum that would be willing to lend advice,

lol. I'll look for some info on it. I really need some bump in my trunk. My stock Bose sub is no good for low bass look into getting a 12 with a decent amp, if you need some help, let me know,if I can't answer it,than,we hsve the resources here to get anything done, besides,sf is only an hour or so away and it wouldn't be a thing for me to drive out there,

I appreciate that. Once I get a quote for the TCC solenoid replacement we will figure something out.
I'd love to hear your truck since I've never heard a system with comps installed. it may be a while before i hear it,I can only do so much at a time due to the fact that I am on the roadf usually 6 days a week and when i get home on the weekends,I have maybe 3 hours at the most to do the things that I need to do for myself, thus, the reason that my system is tasking so long, but you will definately be hearing it,just let me know when you are ready and i will make the trip,

WOW is all I can say. Not quite what I was talking about. Building kicks ported to the outside and cutting the kicks and mounting the basket on the outside is a little different.

Yes I saw that part. Just wondering about depth (you can see the wheel) and it either it needs to be sealed with enough airspace or ported and still protect the woofer from the elements.

I have that same pathfinder.
Wow---big cut.
I don't think there is room to have the entire basket outside the vehicle and not have the tire hit it on full articulation. Maybe there is though. It will be tight.
I like the location and the angle. Nicely done.
I would fiberglass a pod on the outside that covers the elements and maybe wraps down to under the vehicle. Like a hoodscoop that faces backwards. Keep the opening as big as you can. Then put a louvered vent over the opening at the very back. Make it face towards the rear of the vehicle. That will keep water out.
That was a serious cut. Nicely done.
Sorry I didn't get back to you, I was going to take some measurements on my pathfinder to answer your question--but you took care of it.

I am actually gonna put a 3/4 inch mdf ring down before i put the midbass in,it clears the tires at all angles by a few inches,if it doesn't work out,my bro is a badass welder and will fix the holes and i will do as murph sugested.I am not really worried about the hole though,it is just a vehicle that will be used mainly for my trackdays and to and from work,I know it looks pretty radical, but that usuallu how i do things,.
