i bought a pioneer premier sub TS-W3001D2:

12-inch Woofer
Voice Coil: Dual 2-Ohm
Peak Power: 3000 Watts
RMS Power Handling: 1000 Watts
Frequency Response: 20Hz ~ 150Hz
Sensitivity (Efficiency): 92 dB
Voice Coil Diameter: 2-1/2
Magnet Weight 110 oz
Recommended Enclosure Size: 0.5 ~ 1 cu. Ft

my current amp rms is 500W so im looking to upgrade to a bigger better amp to go with the sub and push it the way it should be....taking any recommendations from you guys on a not so expensive but good amp for this sub

also my headunit has a "digital out" port, does anyone know what this would be used for?

That digital out will kill any noise from the source going to the amplifier that accepts the digital link in.

You've given a fairly wide open and general question about the amplifiers.

Do you want the amplifier to accept the digital link in?

well a good amp for under 200 dollars will work for me, with it having digital in would be a good thing i guess

"good amp, under 200" is kind of an oxymoron.

Look into Rockford T1000bd or T1500bd. The 1000 would match up well, the 1500 would give you room to grow, just turn down the gains. They are 1ohm stable and can handle the load. Amazon has them referbed in the 300-400 range.

Honestly if you are only spending 200 and considering it an improvement, save $$ for another month or two and get an improvement, whatever that might be. FWIW
