I have a false floor that I've built for my trunk so needless to say it has some odd shapes. Are there any tutorials out there that will help me with how to make sure the sections of the floor have clear corners? I used spray adhesive for the majority of it but now I'm coming to the point where I'm stapling the extra around the back and am having trouble getting the corners to look clean.
At $16.99 a square yard for the vinyl I'd rather not screw it up...lol

Use a razor blade and cut the vinyl on the backside so that you form a bunch of flaps. That'll allow you to pull the trouble sections flat without pulling the whole area
Working with vinyl is a pain in the ass, especially when you don't have rounded corners
ouch, a couple years ago joann fabrics had it for $5.99 a sq yd
You can use some cheap stuff...but you will not be happy with the way it stretches..I use the Allante brand stuff on a lot of projects..soft feel, stretches very nice and even...but as with ALL vinyls..you have to heat up an area greater than just the area your working..no distorting textures and such..
This adhesive is great for vinyl. I use it for Ensolite as well. Even though it is "spray grade" it still works just fine when you apply it with a chip brush.
...I say that as you see the air line right next to the can...

That Weldwood is the way to go. If you want the easiest vinyl to work with select products has the heat formable that is incredible.By far the most forgiving, but I could never do curves with the cheap stuff. It is so expensive though. But I say why is there never enough time to do right the first time, but always time to do it over again?
