hey ppl. so I'm looking to get a indash DVD unit. preferably a double din for my 08 accord coupe. I like motor flip outs but the single din kit will make my dash look bland and empty so I'm going with double for the style. I've done my basic, or more than basic research and ended up picking the pioneer f900bt. I don't want some cheap entry level valor or Pyle stuff, and I don't want tip of the line kenwood models. something in the upper mid range. is there anything out there that is a good altenative to this? my budget is $900 max and $600 minimum. the f90bt is another option, but only main difference being 3x5v preouts compared to 3x2v preouts so I might pay an extra $100 for that model but not sure if it's worth doing. I just want to know if there are other units out there that compete this unit in the same price range. I'll tell you what I can't live without. touchscreen, divx, atleast 800x400 res, iPhone audio/video, Bluetooth, and 3x2v preamps minimum. I know I can find tho unit online for around $600 easily but a local shop is offering me it's best deal for $925 that includes installation, iPod adapter and cable plus the dashboard kit to hold the unit. I can't install myself, so is it a good deal? thanks a lot if anyone is willing to help.

the price from that shop isn't too bad....don't forget you're also getting labor warranty and local product warranty with that price.

sometimes, that's WELL worth it. just ask around or try to find out if they do good work.

I actually just agreed with Kamikaze. When I installed for best buy the AVIC F-700bt(no dvd, AVIC F-90bt FTMFW) was 649.99, Navi install was 199.99(plus more for whatever other modules you add on i.e. 59.99 for sat rad) and dash kit/wiring harness/antenna adapter was at least $55 depending on the car. So far for the inferior F-700bt we are at $910 plus tax.
