Hey guys im looking to get to a set of these Focal 165K2P's or 165K3P's and im still for an amp that will allow these to blow my mind or anybody that gets in the front seat of my car. Is is true these can handle 200-250rms per speaker? Im really just looking for feedback on these speakers and what you have used to power these focal's. I was thinking about getting a JL 600/4 and bringing into a 2 channel to give it 300rms per speaker, but im wondering is that too much power for them. Any advice would be great. Thanks Mark

Friend just sold those off and picked up the new ones. The Focal KRX3's, the new version of the speakers you are looking at.

The suggestion for powering them was either the Alpine 4.150 or the JL 600HD and Bi-wiring them.

Yes those are the one's im looking at!! Another amp that was just brought to my attention is the Diamond Hex 700.2 that does 200X2 at 4ohms. Now what will bi-wiring do for these speakers and is that better than bridging them and 300X2 at 4ohms with the JL600HD?

I have the 165 KRX2 on a JL 300/2 and its more then enough power. I had them on two Lunar high currents doing 240 per side and the JL is just as loud as that setup was. Remember the new series KRX2 are also 2ohms!
