I'd agree, speakers are the first investment in quality sound.
I'm putting this idea to the test. I've commited to working with a manufacturer that is known for bargain prices, yet still has a good reputation. I've bought into two amplifiers both around $180(I've got one more expensive amplifier to go) that are about to be released, two slim subwoofers for $80 a piece, as well as a three way component set that hasn't been released that runs $200.
I fully intend to be seen in the IASCA competition lanes next year. I also fully intend to win as well. For me it's about the install and all the little tricks I can throw in.
I know if I can make great sound out of a little, you can too.
