I have a 500W peak 300W RMS amp and I just bought 2 new Infinity Reference Series 1250W Peak 300w RMS subs. My Cross over is 100Hz on my head unit and amp. I turned bass Boost all the way down and set the gain at half way. The subs are wired from the amp to a sub then to the other sub. How long until i can turn up the bass boost and the gain? Am i also able to crank the stereo with out blowing or damaging the subs?

That's not the way to set the gain on an amp. The gain should be set to match the input level of the amp. Setting gains

I'm not sure. I would take it easy on them for a couple of days. Don't turn the gain up unless your measurements say it's needed. The gain is NOT a volume knob.

No. There is a limit to how much volume the system can take. If you run the system into clipping, you WILL blow something. Turning the gain up for extra volume would ensure that happens a lot sooner.

Ok so how would i properly tune the amp? would i use a DMM to get a little less then 30 volts for 300W? the amp is a single channel 2 ohm.

By my calculations that would only be about 24.5 V for 300w @ 2.
300*2=600 -> square root 600 = 24.49

And yes, use a DMM. \:\)

sounds to me like it is the ELA-1300. not the cleanest sounding amp, i used one for my winter system. i recommend NOT using much of the bass boost, if any, with that amp. it just doesn't sound good with it.
