My hood release inside my cabin is broken. The cable is pulled all the way out and tied up in a "bow" in front of the radiator/behind the front bumper. I just reach under and pop my hood like that.

It is hidden unless you look under to where its at.

Would these be able to work to just completely remove the cable? If so, how would I pop the hood then?

The same way you pop the trunk. Press aux channel, relay triggers solenoid, hood releases.

Ahh ok so it can be used through the alarm I get.

I'm going to run by the shop Thursday and see what they say. That would be perfect so they can't get under my hood plus I wouldn't have to go buy a hood release cable.

The alarm they were going to originally sell me for $400 installed was by Avatar with the pager and remote start. Would it be better to spend the extra money and get that one instead of the new Viper??

Basically the same thing, they told me it was by the same company.

I'll stick with the Viper as long as it has the AUX button on it.

Do all alarms come with the AUX button?

Ahh, ok. So I can set one for hood and one for trunk. What else can you use for AUX?
