Been to this site a couple of times and gotten tons of good info. I have a problem and wanted some ideas. I bought a 2008 Chevy Tahoe LTZ and had the dealer install headrest TVs. They put in Power Akoustic units that a really nice. The problem is that the wireless headphones have interference - like a high pitched whine. Wired headphones sound great and the audio is fine when played by FM transmitter on the car audio system. Took it back to the installer and they can't figure out the issue. They installed another set and the problem still persisted. Any ideas????

Is the whine the same pitch all the time, or does it go up and down with the engine, like regular old alternator whine?
If it's an intermitten whine, it might be interference from the onstar unit, or even from a cellphone.
If the pitch changes with the engine, you are picking up radiated alternator noise, which in the RF domain, is a PITA to get rid of since not much of anything in a car is regulated for RF transmission by the FCC.
if it's a non-changing pitch, I don't have much of a clue what it could be
My recommendation, since it's really short range and line of sight is to use the IR type headsets.
