Been keeping an eye on ebay for the "no-longer-on-the-market" Taser Club. For those that don't know, it's a steering wheel type club that is electrified and will give a bad shock if touched. It was pull off the marked (for obvious reasons), but have seen it twice on ebay in last 2 years. I was outbid both times (went for around $100 a think). Anyone know of any stashed away?

Also...had a thought. You can get miniature versions of nightclub smoke machines (size of shoebox) on ebay for under $50. Bet that would send a thief running! (As cabin fills with smoke..."Oh my god, is that poison gas?!?!)

LOL! Yeah the Taser Club is (or should I say WAS) a great idea. I always wanted to incorporate some taser probes into a seatback or something so if I got carjacked it would shock the you-know-what out of the you-know-what that stole my car. But then I decided it wouldn't be much fun being sued & all. Because as we all know, he was just "borrowing" my car to get his sick grandma to the hospital or something. Of course, that was before I had my concealed carry permit. \:\)

I remember many years back there was a "smoke defense" machine available for added security. I always wanted to get one but it was no longer available when I was ready to buy. It apparently filled the car with smoke in a matter of seconds, and the smoke was odorless and left no residue.

I can only imagine the fire department getting called out for a "car fire" only because some jackass tried breaking in and set off your alarm, thus setting off the smoke defense. Or, I guess a bigger problem would be if you were driving down the road and the person who installed it didn't know what they were doing and the trigger shorted *POOF!* Car full of smoke going 75 miles an hour. Not good.

My thoughts on the possibility of getting sued is...bring it on! I'd LOVE to sit in a court room, across from some crackhead, crying that my car gave him a shock! Even if he won a couple grand, it would be sooooo worth it! As it is, if you reach under my dash, grabbin' at wires, you'll get some cuts deep enough to need stitches.
And as far as "smoke" going off while driving down the road...I've *never* heard of anyones alarm going off while driving, or anything else happening by itself, so I think a smoke machine would be safe enough.

Guess I'll keep watching ebay, 'cause I sooo want a Taser Club!

In America they would have your ass.

Let me speak from experience. It's illegal to booby trap. As for the smoke machine, ask the guy who the fire department smashed his window and filled his car with water how well it worked for him.

Security is easy. Hide it and don't be a douche booming by peoples houses or near a business.

Not that it matters, but I'm almost 40...my douche bag days are long past. I'm into SQ, not rattling my license plates or buggin' the neighbors.
Been in the US my whole life and have had all my previous four cars broken into. (Even had a '71 VW Bug with the original AM stereo in the dash and a nice deck hidden in the glovebox...stolen at a 49er game (the deck, not the Bug). So, as far as "In America they would have your ass.", I *really* doubt it...worse case scenario: DumbAss with a pacemaker codes in my ride, his dead fingers clutching my "Taser Club". Prove my Club did it! People have been suing Taser for years and they're still around. Even if there's a law against it...who cares. It's the "law's" failure to protect me from crime that leads me to do what I must. If the "law" doesn't like it, tough [censored]...I'll risk it.
As far as the smoke thing, I see your point. A false alarm could cause major water damage.

Finally got my hands on a AutoTaser! Positioned infront of my HU and it's well protected.

I dream of walking up to my car and finding the charred remains of some crackhead...wonder if there's a way to increase the voltage....

Muhahahah.

Actually, in a perfect world, no one will ever try to brake into my car again or steal my stereo and my AutoTaser will be a complete waste of $200!

Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?!
