ive been thinking about putting a screen in my car but dont know to much about them. i want a flip down one that i can watch dvd's on.....are they made like this or do i have to get a dvd player seperate? also, how much do screens run for? i dont want the best thing out there, around $150 maybe....

for that budget, you won't be able to get a mainstream brand.

question. how much energy/power do screens use? also, if i have a system would the sound come from my subs like if im listening to the cd player?

they don't draw much power at all....

to get the sound into your existing system, you have 3 options:

1) use a wireless FM modulator (some screens have this built in). the quality SUCKS with this method

2) use a wired FM modulator. better quality

3) use a direct connection w/ RCAs if your cd player had auxillary inputs. best quality

it looks like you'll need this adapter http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2081_Alpine+Ai-NET+Aux+Input+Adapter.html

double check to make sure it'll work with your model though.

ok, so i was checking some stuff out at onlinecarstereo.com and was wondering would this be better? getting a screen and a dvd player seperately? it would cost a little bit more but im willing to pay if it would make a big difference.

i have to take the whole thing down to change dvds?? if u look around that site, it has bigger screens for cheap.
