What is the best alarm out there?

I've recently been in the market for a top of the line alarm system. It is going into a 1993 Honda Accord. Cost is not a concern, this is one item I am not going to skimp on. I want a fully-covered vehicle, and the peace of mind that comes with it.
So far I've been doing a great deal of research online and have begun talking to alarm shops in my area about different brands etc. Originally I wanted the Autopage RS 1000 OLED (Or C3 RS 900 LED because I've heard problems about the OLED remotes) but the owner of one of the shops I went to recommended the Clifford 50.7x because of their history/reliability. (I've tried emailing AutoPage with no response).
I liked the Autopage because I can use my cell phone to unlock/lock/arm etc. and because of the GPS tracking feature. The man said that DEI also has a GPS system.
I would appreciate any input on high quality alarms out there, and also comparisons between the Autopage C3 RS 1000/900 and Clifford 50.7x with GPS. So far I've only been able to find a somewhat decent review/comparison in 'Performance Auto & Sound' magazine.
I am getting in addition to the brain: shock sensors tilt sensors microphone piezo sirens two way paging vibrate remote + sound starter kill secondary starter kill fuel cutoff remote unlock remote trunk popper? interior fogger? vehicle tracking system proximity sensor/microwave sensor back up battery (sirens too) one mile+ range neutral safety switch kill hood pin rear door handles for front handles, no key hole Remote Vehicle Starter? cellular notification ^any additions are welcome.
I like that the Autopage offers an unlimited number of uses through cell phone. I want to be able to check the status of my car from my cell phone often. Feel free to mention other alarms if they're better.
Also, does anyone know if the Clifford/Autopage alarms use a cellular-type signal for the GPS, or a satellite-type signal?
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

I am getting in addition to the brain: shock sensors Standard tilt sensors Good option microphone What? piezo sirens Work well but need to be delayed if you use a glass mic two way paging Standard vibrate remote + sound Standard starter kill Standard secondary starter kill You only have one starter. No need to kill it twice fuel cutoff Good idea remote unlock Standard remote trunk popper? If you have a power trunk yes. If you don't have a power trunk then add a 522T interior fogger? Unless you want the fire department to destry your car then do it vehicle tracking system C3 proximity sensor/microwave sensor Only on a convertable back up battery (sirens too) Get a hood lock one mile+ range Standard neutral safety switch kill What? hood pin Standard rear door handles for front handles, no key hole Cool but you better have a backup if the battery dies Remote Vehicle Starter? Standard cellular notification C3 ^any additions are welcome.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance. Adding GPS to a Directed unit is $399.99 and it's not unlimited.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, the installer I was talking to (who pointed me towards the Clifford) told me the GPS would be an additional cost. Altogether he quoted me around $1100 (parts) which sounds about right with the cost of the additional sensors/switches/etc.
So which would you recommend, the Autopage or the Clifford?
Do you know if they use cellular or satellite reception?
I'm leaning Autopage simply because of unlimited GPS use.
By microphone I meant for glass breakage
Thanks for pointing out that tip about the fogger + fire department, never thought of that:D
Can you expand on why I shouldn't use a microwave sensor in a hardtop? I would set it only for interior movement, as a backup, or if I had the windows cracked at a friends house etc.
Also, why wouldn't I want a back up battery as well as a hood lock? As well as back up batteries in the sirens?
Thanks for your reply, I hear you're one of the best guys on this forum.
**edit, can you please post a link to the DEI GPS? I haven't been able to find it online.

I prefer DEI products so Clifford over Autopage. That is just my opinion.
Microwave sensors tend to false more on hard tops. Again my experience.
Hood lock protects the main battery. Battery backups work well but will not last as long as a car battery.
Battery backup sires are 1980s technology. You have to mount them in the open to access the key hole. http://www.drdetailshop.com/viper210faq.htm
