Alpine Blackbird Update, Is it worth it?

I have the original Blackbird from Alpine and know that the update is out. Has anyone done the update and is it worth the $80. I live in a rural area and there are alot of new streets that arent in my current version. Will the update help? Please no comments on how bad the blackbird sucks. I know I can get a Garmin for $129 and I did as a back up, but my van has the Blackbird and its in a dock and view through an IVA-W200 and seems to work ok now that I did some repairs to the Head Unit. Its too late to change everything. I am just wondering if its worth the update?

it might be. just remember that map data is about 1.5 - 2 years old by the time it comes out. You might want to wait for the next update.
