An EQ alone will not get you decent bass response in a car. The EQ should be used to correct for minor problems in frequency response. If you use the EQ to boost bass frequencies on speakers that either don't have the ability to play them, or are not installed properly, you will create distortion. All mid bass speakers and subs MUST be installed such that the rear wave can't get to the front of the speaker. For door speakers, it's not necessary to have the door completely sealed, but the rear wave doesn't need to be able to reach the front of the speaker. For sub bass, you have to use a subwoofer in a proper enclosure, or mounted infinite baffle. Bass requires power. You will never get decent bass response powering speakers from a head unit. Look through the build logs in the show off thread and in the Team Sounddomain section. That will give you some ideas. You don't need to start tuning until the install is 100% correct.

also, to the OP, what else do you have installed besides the headunit. what do you have as far as speakers, subs, and amplification go? just saying you installed a unit and want more bass doesn't give us much to work with.

It's impossible to tell someone a perfect setting for their EQ over the internet. Every car is different. The only way my EQ setting would work for you is if you had the exact same car with the exact same equipment and everything installed exactly like mine is installed. Even then, I would bet there would be some variations. What you need to do is learn what frequencies effect the sounds you are listening to. If you listen to a trumpet, you need to know what frequency range the trumpet plays in. A normal trumpet recording would be from 165hz to a little above 3khz. If it sounds to harsh on a particular note, you would need to turn that frequency down a little on the eq. Without a vast knowledge of what frequency every instrument and singer is performing, you won't know what you're hearing without a RTA. The best way to start learning would be to play with each frequency. Turn each one all the way up and see what it changes, then turn it all the way down and see what it changes. Most EQ's in a head unit don't have enough bands to fix all the problems in a car. Here's a chart that gives you frequencies based on notes of an instrument or vocalist. It might help you get started. frequency chart .
Remember the EQ will not fix equipment or install problems. If you don't have the speakers installed properly, no amount of eq will make them sound natural. If you are running a set of sparkomatic 6X9's, no amount of eq or install will make them sound natural. No amount of eq, equipment, or install will overcome poor recordings.
