Please help if you can.

I’m not a pro by any means, but a little better than a novice and can usually get by pretty easy on basic installs. I just installed the AVN-6620 with the ICP-103 IPod interface in my Hyundai Tucson SUV. Everything with the system seems to work fine with one exception.

When I connect my IPod, it starts to load the contents, but seems to stop. Within 1-2 seconds the IPod screen itself shows "ok to disconnect" on the IPod screen. That seemed odd to me. I have allot of music on the IPod and have an IPOD adapter on my factory BMW and it took time to load. Also says “Do not disconnect”. Almost seems like the system stops pulling info from the IPOD.

Now when I go into the AVN-6620 and bring up the IPod to get music, I notice I do not have the ability to "scroll" through artist, songs, genre’s, etc, etc.

Any thoughts? I swapped out the interface and still have the same issue. I tried a different IPOD…Could the head unit be bad from the factory?

Appreciate any help you can give and thanks for the support!

Thanks!

you won't be able to access any of that if you don't have the e-brake on. Those functions are locked out while driving. I have that unit. BTW, it's an iPC-106. It should say ECLIPSE on the screen of the iPod and OK to disconnect. if it doesn't there is an issue. Make sure that the A and B switches are in the right position, I can't remember where they should be but call Eclipse Tech Support and talk to Steve or Dale. They will be able to walk you through it.

There is little chance that the unit is bad. Those are pretty highly controlled units, still made in Japan.
