Vehicle: 2007 GMC Sierra Classic
Alarm: DEI Hornet 740T
Interface: DEI 1700G1

my connections:
+12V - Red
Ignition - Pink
Starter kill - Yellow
Parklights - Gray/Black
Interface Data wire - OBD II pin 2
Door Lock - Green from interface
Door Unlock - Blue from interface
Door Trigger - Violet/White from interface

Problem: engine starts when key is moved to ACC position. no starter grind, even when the key is pushed to start while running. i disconnected both the alarm and interface and got no change. the door trigger stopped working as well. also, tried to reprogram the interface, no change. everything else functions fine. wtf????

d'oh! what does the brown wire connect to? and what does it do?

Nothing it's for remote start.

Most newer GM vehicles crank when ACC drops out. No need to crank the key until the truck starts.

Do the door locks work with the alarm?

yes, locks work fine.

so what do you think my problem is?

edit: i remember the truck still cranking even though the starter wire (yellow) is disconnected. \:confused\: \:\(

It doesn't use a traditional starter wire. So no starter kill.

So you are saying as soon as you turn the truck on, it cranks?

yup. key in....turn to ign and the radio turns on....then turn it to acc and the engine fires.

i'm very \:confused\:

Acc would be the first position (radio only) and the second position is ignition (radio, AC - blower) then the next should be crank. 3 positions.

You removed all wires and repaired everything back to stock?

How many positions do you have?
