Nothing fancy...yet...
What i got
Old kenwood head unit, not sure on model number. MTX 6.5" 2-way coaxials in all 4 doors. (2) Blaupunkt PCA1350 amps (2) Clarion PXW1251 subs
The headunit is 4 years old now, i pulled it outta my grand am when i got the blazer. Dont remember what i spent, but it was 4 years ago, maybe 130-150, but it was a gift, so i spent nothing.
The door speakers were a necessity, i blew the stock ones, and couldnt stand it anymore. Retail was 100/pr. i paid 50/pr. Not a bad deal...
The final thing i did was add some bass.
I did this about 9 months ago, i did a little research and shopped around, and came across the Clarion PXW1251s. I practicly stole these at $72 each, delivered to my door.
The amps i got on sale from crutchfield before they discontinued them, $99 each.
So just counting the subs and amps and box, i got a pretty nice setup for very little money. Box, amps and subs, under $400 all togeather sinc i built my own box. Its sloppy though, i rushed it, didnt take my time, the seals are good, just looks a little...rough...
I was just outside taking some vids of the excursion on these things, and my neighbor threatened to call the cops on me. But shes a crazy b!tch as it is, i perfer the term, thundakunt.
Stock exterior, pics are form when i first got it a few winters ago.

Got her stuck.

Next day when i got it out after being stuck for over 24 hours

And now for the stuff you actually care about, lol
Clarion EQ i never got around to installing

Blaupunkt PCA1350

Building the box in the basement in our craped workspace

Box, 2.2 ft^3 per chamber, sealed, gives it some nice response and great low end for a seald box.

Some pics of the subs outta the box

Box done, test fit, wiring wasnt done being run yet, so the amps are still in the boxes

Everything in the back now.

Flimsy roof, or strong bass, you decide.

This one got cut short due to a threat of havin the cops called, didnt wanna push my luck too far.

500RMS ON 1 VOICE COIL the subs are DVCs and rated at 1000peak 500RMS, i ran it like this for a while...

MY CIGS ARE POSESSED

Total cost for subs, wiring, box (built myself), install (self with help of friends) and amps came to $402 including shipping for components. Oh ya, and a deep dish pizza cuz we got hungry. Didnt have to buy a tube of caulk, i work in the glass and curtainwall industry, i stole a tube from work, lol.
Whatcha think?

Haha, I love living in the country. Just step outside and crank 'em, the police have a half-hour response time so you just nick off after twenty minutes ;).
Cool though, I'll bet they've got some punch.

haha, ya...These clarions are no joke, they are the real deal, weigh almost 20Lbs a piece, i know wieght isnt everything, but these are built well. I put 500 watts RMS to one voice coil for 9 months, on each of these, and they took every min of it. Never complained, never sounded bad, nothing.

really, bigger than that, cuz thats the amp i was lookin at, lol.
I just ported the box today, and my subs hit atleast twice as hard now. I do a lot of shooting competitively, and hunt also, so im used to loud noises, cuz i dont wear hearing protection when hunting, so im kinda used to loud noises.
But my ears actually hurt right now. I went through a cruise of the hospital parking garage after my friends ultrasound, she may have cancer:(, i set of 15 alarms, not counting cars that i got twice.
