Anyone gotten a chance to hear a setup with the new jl 13.5 tw5? Just curious, they loooook nice. How would one of these compare to a 12w6v2?

it doesn't. although, the installation friendly thin sub allows you to stick it just about anywhere, it's performance is more comparable to a w3 of the same size. the thirteen does have more cone area, but the 12w6 is still a better sounding sub.

it's difficult to see from the pics, but in jl audio's mustang 350, the tw5 sub enclosure is mounted to the rear deck, leaving nearly all of the remainder of the cargo space intact.

These subs sound awesome. If you are going to compete in SQ it would not be my first choice (JL 12w6v2). In tight places these subs are amazing. I put two in a regular cab Ford Ranger and it was insane. A hint from JL, offset the sub in the enclosure, something about dispersion from the back of the sub. And break them in properly.
