I posted this earlier, but in the wrong section...
I just purchased a 2002 Toyota Corolla CE, and for some reason these cars only come with front speakers. Yesterday, I bought a set of 6 1/2" MTX speakers for the back. My mom actually owns the same car, and when she got speakers for it, she got them installed in store (because there originally were no speakers, we thought they would need to run wire from the front), but whoever installed them said that there already was speaker wire running from the front. So when I went to install mine, I assumed the same thing Only i cant find any wires running from the front. Does anyone know if I will need to run wire from the front, or am I just looking in the wrong place for the wire?

the wires are tied to the harness. look about 9 inches forward of the speaker hole.

can you clarify a bit? The only wring there runs to the tail lights as far as I can see and I have the back panel lifted up.

just took a look, theres a bunch of wires bound up to the brake light, and then going down through the trunk to the tail lights. But theres 2 wires sticking out in front of the speaker holes 1 black and 1 yellow but they are capped, i think. are these the ones?

yes, those are the wires, should have a plug on them, too. If I remember right, it's medium gray. look for pink and purple on the other side.
