Hi, I am planning on doing three installs next month when I get home from Iraq. And since I do not have the cars right in front of me, its kinda hard to visualize what I want to do. The cars are a 00 Maxima, 99 Accord and 91 Camaro. I would like to put double din navigation systems in each but websites like Crutchfield claim that only single din units fit in each. I know I can fit the double in the camaro because I have installed several radios in that car. The other two have stock setups so I am wondering if anyone here has installed double dins in them. For the maxima I want Infinity Perfect 6.1 with a Perfect 12 in the trunk, powered by a Kappa 255 5ch amp. With the 6.1 fit in the door? Any ideas on where to mount the tweeters? I was thinking the same setup for the accord so I have the same question. For the camaro, I am thinking about 5.25 components in the rear and kick panels. Do you think I can do away with the 4X6 in the dash with that setup. I have never been impressed with the sound of any of the 4X6 speakers that Ive heard. The camaro is a convertible so the trunk setup is very small and road noise is loud, even with the top up. Any ideas for a sub/amp setup in the trunk? I do not have any experience with nav systems and I think they need a seperate unit. Is this the case with all of them? I know that Ive asked alot of questions and probably left some important info out, but Ive been deployed for 15 months and I am going off of memory and the internet. I already ordered 2 Kappa 255 amps and 2 sets of Perfect 6.1 and one Perfect 12. I would like to order the rest of the systems so everything is waiting on me when I get home. Any insight would be appreciated.
