Looking at these, mainly because of price. Does anybody have any feedback on these. If not, I would appreciate some recommendations on 6.5's that are $50 or less. I am basically looking for something that is good. Doesn't have to be great or exceptional.
Power Acuostik XP2K-653
Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I am saving a considerable amount on the amp, so I might be willing to fork out a little more for some better speakers. Do you have suggestions? Like I said before, the sound quality does not need to be phenomenal, just maybe a 6-7 out of 10. They are being mounted with a TON of background engine noise, so I think I can sacrifice a little on the sound quality.
Thanks.

i've heard and installed those PA speakers. for the price, you can do worse. the above listed brands are better.

Thanks for the replies guys. Nobody around me seems to carry JBL. I wish they did, because a long time ago I swore by JBL. JL's are way too expensive for what I want to use them for. There are some Pioneer's that are in the $60-80 range at Best Buy, but they are only rated for 30-35W RMS. The Aplines SPS-600's are around $100, a little pricey, but maybe doable. I was really hoping to spend less than that though.
I have a general question. I bought a 4X60W RMS amp. Is it ideal to find speakers that can handle 60W RMS? Another way of asking, would it be a waste to buy 30-35W speakers when the amp is capable of 60W RMS?
k_h_a: You also replied to my amplifier thread, so hopefully you read my initial post and know what I am going to mount these speakers in. They really do not need to be superb. On a scale from 1-10, how would you personally rate the PA's on things such as bang for the buck, sound quality, durability and overall. I know they aren't JL's, so I don't mind honest responses. If they suck, they suck. Do you have any others to recommend, besides the ones listed above?
Any feedback I can get will be great. I only have one car audio shop close, and I don't really like they all too well. I went in there the other day and did not get a good vibe at all. That only leaves Best Buy, and most of the people who work there (not all, but most) are, well, less that knowledgeable.
Thanks again!
