I have a Powerbass 12 inch subwoofer, 350 watts, 250 RMS
Model is PB-C125Dv.2, it's also a dual voice coil.

Was wondering what king of amp you guys think i should use.
Also whether this sub is worth it, using it by itsself in a 02 camry, I was looking into 2 10's, but im not sure.

PS.Whats a dual voice coil

Thanks

Welcome to Sounddomain,

I would recommend a Kicker amp.

Dual Voice Coil means the sub has two sets of coils, that move through the magnet usually just used for wiring flexibility.
it has two sets of terminals both positive(+) and negative(-).

one 12in' sub installed correctly should be fine for daily listening, at a reasonable level.

Having DVC gives you more flexible wiring options. A SVC sub will perform just as well as a DVC sub. If the sub is rated for 250w rms I would run an amp that puts out 300-350w rms.

I would get a 4 channel amp and hook up the fronts to the amp and leave the rears off the HU.

Even if they are stock speakers would that be alright, or would that blow them connecting them to the amp

The Pioneer GM5300T is a 2 channel amp that's stable to 4 ohms mono. Don't try to run that woofer with that amp bridged. It will see a 2 ohm load. Of course, you could wire your sub to an 8 ohm load. The amp will output 250 watts into that load. The GM series amps are robust and quite potent for thier price range.

You may want to slow down and design your system from the top. The woofer is fine. I suggest a 5 channel amp and a headunit upgrade. An upgraded headunit will easily outperform a stock unit. The 5 channel amp could run your front and rear speakes and a sub at the same time.
