OK - I am tentatively looking at purchasing a 400.1 (400 RMS @ 2 ohm)(class d) kicker amp to pair with a Comp VR 10 DVC4 (400 RMS).
If I am to run this dual voice coil sub in paralell... would I just jump the two terminals ( solid red to dot red, solid black to dot black) and then run 2 wires from both white dotted terminals to the speaker wire plug and then on the exterior of it, run the wires from the back of the box to the amplifier? BTW, in the Kicker manual, for the subwoofer, it talks about the air space in the box. It says .8 Cu ft. is the minimum, which is what I want, because I figure it would hit the tightest. But, it is saying that all measurements (inside dimensions) are figured with the subwoofer displacement. So if I wanted .8 CU air chamber, would I have to get a bigger box to accomodate? I don't want to get a box with .8 CU FT. and then put the subwoofer in and have it knock it down to like... .5 cu ft. How do I go about figuring this out?
Thanks

you won't get a 2 ohm load from the amp with two of those subs, they are dual voice coil 4 ohm subs, if you run them in parallel they'll be 2 ohms i assume you are goin' to bridge the amp, that pull a 1 ohm load when both subs are hooked up and yes, you have to make that box a tad bigger to take into acct the sub displacement
he is only going to run ONE of the DVC 4ohm CVR's which will get him a 2ohm load wired in parallel. also, he can't bridge the amp since it is a mono amp.

Well, am I correct at least? I mean, does the wiring seem right? Or can you explain? How do I figure out how big of a box I need to make it .8 CU ft?

thanks all? now i notice that they say you can have up to a 300 watt amp rms for the max sealed vol... and up to 400 watt amp rms for min sealed vol. what should i do to figure that out? or just go anywhere between 3 and 400. does it really matter, as long as it is in between the 2 figures?

OK, I purchased a COMP vr 10 DVC4 and a zx 400.1. I e-Mailed Tracy Focht and says he recommends a 1.0 cu. foot box. I have a hard time finding one, most are like 1.08 etc etc... is it really going to matter?
