Hi, I have 2 4 ohms 10" infinity sub with 250 rms power handling. I just bought a 2 channel amp with 100 x 2 at 4 ohms / 150 x 2 rms at 2 ohms. My question is how can I hook up my wires so that I am getting the most power from the amp to power my subs?
I've been reading and a lot of websites suggest wiring the subs parallel to 1 channel... but if i did this then I will only be getting 75w rms to each sub (the power from 1 channel will split for 2 subs). How can I hook it up so that both of my subs are getting 150w rms at 2 ohms?
oh yeh, my amp is bridgeable at 4 ohms. Please help

Unless you have dual 4 ohm voice coil subs, you are out of luck. It's better to ask these questions BEFORE you buy the equipment, or go to a good dealer that can tell you what you need. If your subs are single voice coil 4 ohm subs, you will need an amp that can run bridged at 2 ohms and give you at least 400 watts rms, preferably 500 watts rms. If the subs are dual 4 ohm voice coils, you could wire the voice coils parallel to each channel and get the 150w rms per channel at 2 ohms.

exactly. either change the amp or change the subs. lesson learned. see if you can exchange the amp for a monoblock that is 2 ohm stable. if you want to keep the amp get two 4 ohm DVC subs and wire them for 4 ohm mono and bridge the amp.

or buy two more subs, and use all 4.

^while that will work, it is not always an option. four subs takes twice as much space and that amp would only provide 75W to each sub.
