Just wondering how come earlier this year the JL 12W3v3 was rated @ 300W RMS and nowadays it's rated @ 500W RMS???

if you look at the power chart, optimum is still around the 300W mark.

i guess they changed it to the thermal rating to make it seem like they can handle more juice..
